One of the highlights from this production was chasing the X2 with the Alta 8 drone, pushing it full throttle as it roared past massive fire bursts. X2 was stationed on the edge of the park, which limited our flight range, so we had to make every moment count. The first take was epic—everything synced perfectly, the drone hit the speed, the flames roared—but as soon as the take was over, the pilot had to slam the brakes, causing the drone props to slide into the frame. The client gave us the nod but said, "Looks great, but let’s do it again." The second take was even smoother. The pilot expertly feathered the brakes, keeping the shot clean and locking in the perfect take.
